Objectives
Objective 1
To obtain potato somatic hybrids (PSH) by protoplasts electrofusion between Romanian potato cultivars and wild potato species, S. berthaultii, S. bulbocastanum, and S. chacoense.
Objective 2
To select the PSH lines with resistance to potato-specific aphids by applying complementary methods of screening.
Objective 3
To identify the morphological and biochemical traits associated with resistance.
